Wow, it's been a long time since I've blogged! I really had good intentions after starting my business to keep you updated on my sessions - good & bad. With 2 exciting, but crazy photography years under my belt now, I can see that life is not going to slow down any, so I might as well start blogging now, right??
Many of you know that I also have a Facebook page for my business now as well, so I will do my best to keep one or both of them current! We'll see!!
To catch you up a little bit on Kylie Davis Photography, here is a little bit about me & my business.
I started my business in the Fall of 2008 with a few dollars, a big dream, a lot of prayers, and the encouragement of a few family & friends. I had never taken an actual photography class, though I was on the newspaper staff in highschool - does that count, Mr. Nichol???
I've loved being behind the camera for as long as I can remember - a lot more than I liked being in front of it. This only intensified as I became a mom! I loved photographing my 3 daughters, but I was always disappointed with the shots I got because my point & shoot camera limited my creativity. A wonderful Aunt decided to step in and help me get my first DSLR, and the rest is history. I still have lots to learn, but I am enjoying the ride!! I've had super slow (business)months and super crazy months, but there really hasn't been a dull moment!
Along with being a stay at home mom to twin 3 year olds and a 7 year old, I am also a fireman's wife, a photographer, and I am coaching a cheerleading squad that consists of 31 Kindergarten-2nd graders. I am SO blessed to have a friend helping me coach the squad, and she is a fellow blogger, so check her out!

I am very excited about my photo sessions coming up! I have a session with a one year old, who I did her newborn pics! Wow- time flies! I am also doing the MOPS fundraiser again for First United Methodist of Richardson. Last year we had around 50 families in 2 Saturdays, but we got some great shots, so I can't wait to see how many have signed up this year! I know it's hard to believe, but I already have people booking me for Christmas card photos, so don't wait too long to reserve your spot!
For those of you who don't know, I do all on location portraits, so I will meet you at a local park, the Arboretum, the Gaylord Texan, etc. or I will come to your home, if you prefer. I don't do a lot of props because I love to capture real life, but I have added a ton of new tutus, flower head bands & clips, etc. Sometimes girls just need to have fun!! If there is something you have in mind for a particular photo, please ask me! I LOVE to try new photo techniques and portrait locations.
I guess that's enough about me. Check back soon to see pics from recent sessions!
Thank you to all of my loyal customers. You are all blessings to my life!!
I hope to see you all very soon!
